Park and ride Vienna
Are you planning a city trip to Vienna and do not yet know where to park your car safely and cheaply? It’s not that easy either – since the summer of 2019 there has been a short-term parking zone almost everywhere in Vienna . Of course, commuters who have to drive to work in Vienna every day are faced with the same problem. Especially in the north of Vienna, the existing parking facilities are often overcrowded or full in the early hours of the morning. However, parking on the street is not a grateful alternative either.
In the 19th district, for example, you can park for a maximum of three hours on the public street between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., one hour costs 2.10 euros each. The whole day would therefore cost € 21 – although you are only allowed to park for three hours at a time.
For a weekly ticket in the Spittelau Park and Ride facility, you pay 14.90 euros on presentation of a Wiener Linien weekly ticket, and 56 euros for the month with a public transport monthly ticket . However, the season tickets for the Vienna park and ride have been taken and there is a waiting list. The fact is that the public park-and-ride facilities in Spittelau and Heiligenstadt are undersized.
The park and ride facility from Parktiger in Vienna Heiligenstadt can help here . A number of free parking spaces are available here within a short walking distance of the Heiligenstadt train station (U4) for only € 3.99 / day or € 59.99 / month. Bookings can be made online with just a few clicks – parking authorization then takes place via a license plate control. Park and ride in Vienna can be fun 🙂
